TALK:
An A-Z of Chinese Food
Writer and community organiser Jenny Lau discusses themes from her book, An A-Z of Chinese Food (Recipes Not Included) - an enriching anthology that uses food to explore who we are and how we relate to the world. This is not a recipe book, but a deliberate ‘anti-glossary’ - a delectable edible anthology that serves up Chinese flavour beyond just its taste.
In a separately bookable series of events, artist Alastair Kwan's installation CONGEE transforms Van Gogh House’s kitchen and garden into a canteen serving Hong Kong style congee: a savoury rice porridge dish widely eaten across Asia.
Saturday 4 October 1–2pm
Van Gogh House, 87 Hackford Rd, London SW9 0RE
