Independent music artist Nayana AB is joined by Vevo’s former Head of A&R Jodeci Chin, award-winning filmmaker, creative director and artist Jeremy N. Cole and South London rapper Sam Wise for a panel discussion celebrating and exploring their individual entry points into the industry, ways to standout in a world full of influencers-turned-artists and how they managed to carve out a lane for themselves beyond and using social media.

NAYANA.AB [she/her] is a genre-blending artist weaving jazz, alternative R&B, Caribbean rhythms, and global influences into emotionally rich, culturally rooted music. A recent First Class Master’s graduate in Global Black Studies, Decolonisation & Social Justice, she merges her academic research with soulful storytelling. Over the past year, NAYANA has won the Dr. Martens Made Strong competition, performed at Cross The Tracks festival, and won the Tileyard x SoundCloud International Songwriting Competition, earning a writing residency in Morocco.

Jeremy Ngatho Cole [he/him] is a Kenyan-born, UK-raised filmmaker, creative director, and artist known for work that explores Black British culture. His portfolio spans TV, documentary, short film, and stage design. In 2019, he co-founded creative studio YOUT with Marcus Grey, producing campaigns and visuals for artists such as Little Simz, Michael Kiwanuka, Ezra Collective, Celeste, Nubya Garcia and Pa Salieu. As well as a love for poster design and painting, Jeremy has led creative direction for major tours and album campaigns, and next, he’s bringing his design vision to Little Simz’s highly anticipated Lotus tour.

Jodeci Chin [she/her] is a creative force across music, media, and culture. With a background spanning broadcast at Reprezent, talent management at Vevo and spearheading her own agency, GLU, she’s led campaigns for artists like Rema, FLO and Spice, and delivered major brand moments with Nike, JD and BBC Radio 1. Recognised by Time Out and Her Network for championing underground talent, she’s a sought-after voice in Music Week, Highsnobiety and on stages like The Great Escape.
Sam Wise [he/him] is a South London rapper known for his genre-blending sound and sharp lyricism. As a founding member of House of Pharaohs, he helped shape the UK underground scene before stepping out with solo projects like Sorry You Were Saying and Free Game. His music blends hip-hop, trap, and alternative vibes, offering a balance of bold energy and introspective depth. Collaborations with artists like Knucks and Octavian, along with his distinct voice and fearless creativity, have earned him critical acclaim. Sam Wise continues to push boundaries, standing out as one of the UK’s most exciting voices in rap.
